FINALLY!!! You guys don't understand how long it took me to cobble today's YouTube video featuring Morgan Taylor's brand-new Spring 2015 collection based on Disney's new live-action movie Cinderella. I kept putting it off because I didn't have time to do this, so here it is on the final day of Fairy Tale Fortnight (Um, the bonus day?)!

I've had quite a few people comment on my nails in the past ask what I was using or wish I'd done a close-up so they could see better, etc., etc., and had a realization: Why not do a feature on nail polish? It's not book-related (Unless you're wearing the new HUNGER GAMES-inspired line from China Glaze, but I'm not even going into how wrong that is...), but it's fun. Plus, if I do this feature, I'll be more likely to re-paint my nails this week and less likely to let them chip their way to the bare bones (which would mean that I could see my nails...and if I see them, I want to bite them!).

Welcome back to another edition of Mad About Nails!

Fairy tales, fairy tales!
You all know how much I love them!

Last month, I went to see Disney's new live-action movie Cinderella the weekend it came out!

To celebrate, I wore "Best Ball Gown Ever" with a top coat of "If The Slipper Fits" when I went to the movies with friends.

I know I'm not the only fairy tale fan out there who loves nail polish, so here's an in-depth look at all six colors in Morgan Taylor's line-up!

A week or two ago, I was in J.C. Penney (For the first time in AGES because they'd randomly sent us $10 off!) and stuck my head in the salon on my way out. Imagine my shock when they had ALL SIX Cinderella nail polishes. This is a HUGE DEAL because I have not ever seen Morgan Taylor in a store EVER. I bought my polishes from Loxa Beauty's online website after seeing them featured on All Lacqured Up's blog. It was my first time buying Morgan Taylor because I like to see what I'm buying before I invest the money, but I blind-bought all of these. (You can also buy them on Morgan Taylor's website, or look at some awesome Cinderella-inspired nail art there!)

(J.C. Penney also had a clearance Holiday Morgan Taylor duo that I bought and a Holiday Essie collection that came with two polishes and the Grow Stronger base I've been using for a few months now to get my nails in better shape. It came to about $14 for BOTH sets. I was in heaven!! ...I should go back and buy more Essie sets because Grow Stronger costs more than that BY ITSELF!)

ANYWAY, here is a video looking at this beautiful new collection!

THE BREAKDOWN:

For My Base Coat:

I started off with a basecoat of Essie "Millionails" and a coat of Essie "Grow Stronger." My nails are breaking and splitting right now, so I'm trying to strengthen them again! I picked up "Millionails" at Target to try, and saw on the back of the box that it said to pair this with "Grow Stronger." So that's what I'm doing!

For My Nail Color:

I used two coats of Morgan Taylor "Best Ball Gown Ever" from the 2015 Cinderella Collection, which I purchased from Loxa Beauty. THEN I added one layer of the beautiful glitter polish "If The Slipper Fits. In person, the colors, when combined, looked so much like Cinderella's sparkly dress. I got a ton of compliments on my nails all week!

For my Top Coat:

I used Dermalect "Instant Nail Thickener" Top Coat to keep my nails strong and healthy!
Here's a post where I talk about how amazing the top coat is!

Is anyone else obsessed with nail polish? What are you wearing right now? Link me a photo; I want to see! ^_^

(I kind of want to do fairy tale art now for FTF!!)
